Banksy’s Three Story Piece in Soho

Seemingly still on his tour of the US, we hadn’t heard much from the British street artist since his endeavors in New Orleans. Recently, Banksy commissioned professional painters Colossal to put up his I Love NY rat piece in Manhattan’s Soho neighborhood. The three story high work features a very ironic message, which we have come to expect throughout the years. More images after the jump.

    The odd thing to me is that Banksy’s street pieces are usually a stencil job.

    That looks like it’s just one of Banksy’s drawings, but enlarged. It’s not typical of Banksy outdoor pieces.

    It’s great to see these artists taking up spots in NYC. but I guess old Banksy is keeping with his quote about Blek Le Rat. “Everything I’ve done Blek Le Rat did 20 years ago”. But you gotta love it anyways.
