For the 2008 fall/winter collection, Ato Matsumoto has offered an updated version of their Velcro Zip High Top originally seen earlier this year. Although the color schemes are roughly the same, Matsumoto goes about things in more subtle fashion ditching the patent leathers for regular full-grain leather. Hidden behind a Velco-fastened strap is a vertical zipper. Available now at Rowgage.

    I actually like it. I don’t know if I’d drop 5 for them like everyone did on his last design, but these are cool.

    i hear you tjholmes. i’m pretty sick of the chuck rip-offs. Chucks, af1′s, dunks, etc. There is so much you can do with a sneaker, i refuse to buy stuff that just looks like a different colorway from an established company. damn bape for popularizing plagiarism.
