Sampha is breathing more life into one of Lahai‘s favorite cuts. After confirming the collaboration earlier this week, Sampha enlisted Little Simz to contribute to an expanded, and even more otherworldly iteration of “Satellite Business” dubbed “Satellite Business 2.0.”

While the initial Lahai track serves as almost an interlude of sorts, clocking in at a concise minute-and-a-half, the standalone single “Satellite Business 2.0” rounds out at almost five minutes long.

“This song has evolved from playing it live over the last year and some change taking in the energy that the audiences have given to us on stage guiding it to this current incarnation that I’m so glad to be sharing with you all today,” Sampha explained of “Satellite Business 2.0” in an Instagram post, signaling the only Lahai track that has been reworked.

“Satellite Business 2.0” sees a switch-up about a minute-and-a-half in, picking up the tempo and setting the stage for Little Simz to close out with one final verse.

Sampha also revealed in a statement that he’d envisioned a guest verse on the “Satellite Business,” pointing to Simz as the ideal collaborator.

“Little Simz’s music has been close to my heart and ears for some time now … She’s one of my favorite artists. Her confidence and creative bravery are so refreshing. It’s amazing to see someone giving so much to their art.”

Stream “Satellite Business 2.0” now on Spotify and Apple Music.
