Supreme Spring 2024 Tees
Eight designs in total, including a salute to UGK’s ‘Super Tight’ album and a unique graphic created by artist Josh Smith.
Between an MM6 Maison Margiela collaboration, a new collection with Dr. Martens and the opening of a new Shanghai flagship (accompanied by its own special box logo tee), it’s been a busy spring season for Supreme. Now, the brand is keeping its momentum strong with its latest seasonal graphic tee drop, eight styles that include callouts to classic hip-hop albums, artist collaborations and more.
The pièce de résistance of the collection is a tee that celebrates Super Tight, the 1994 sophomore album from iconic Texas rap duo UGK. A funk-infused project produced almost entirely by the late Pimp C — one-half of UGK alongside Bun B, the latter of whom proudly shared pieces from the extended UGK x Supreme collaboration on his Instagram earlier this week — Super Tight preceded Ridin’ Dirty, the duo’s 1996 classic that’s also commemorated in the Supreme Spring 2024 collection.
Besides the Super Tight tee, the offerings also include a collaboration with New York City-based artist Josh Smith, featuring a paint-splattered graphic on its back. The “Electro” tee celebrates Electromagnetic Brainology, a five-channel video installation from 2017 that sees invented gods dance to an electronic score created by J-pop production group Invisible Manners, while the “Collage” tee features all-over printed patches of graphics created by artist duo Women’s History Museum. The “Pinline” tree features a ’70s-esque graphic treatment, the “Tunnel” tee shows a retrofuturistic rendering of a tunnel on its chest and the numbers for select Supreme stores on the back, the “Teardrop” tee shows a stylized image of a tearful girl and the “Records” tee offers a graphic of an imagined record label.
Look for the Supreme Spring 2024 tee collection to roll out via the brand’s webstore and brick-and-mortar locations on April 11 — except for China, which will see a physical and digital release on April 13.
