Umbro and Slam Jam Kick off FW23 With All-New "Penalty Culture" Collection

Drawing inspiration from styles seen around football pitches; from hoodies and tracksuits to scarves and Harrington Jackets.

Regular collaborators Umbro and Slam Jam have connected once again to present a new collection. This time, the duo’s all-new “Penalty Culture” capsule — the second installment of the franchise — is reaffirmed through Slam Jam’s approach to the commonalities between subculture and trend, resulting in a capsule that draws inspiration from styles seen around football pitches; from hoodies and tracksuits to scarves and Harrington Jackets.

With this in mind, the new Umbro x Slam Jam collaboration takes various pointers from the beautiful game, creating co-branded football jerseys in blacked-out color schemes with tailored detailing around the necklines and hems.

Additionally, outerwear becomes a core focus this season, with a slew of waterproof designs complemented with technical zippers and large pockets, designed to carry all match-day essentials.

Elsewhere, accessories in the form of branded hats and scarves continue the stealthy color palette, with hints of silver being used to highlight the customary Umbro x Slam Jam motifs. Cozy hoodies round off the collection, hit with bold Umbro branding across the chest, whilst pull strings are used around the hood to provide an adjustable fit.

You can take a closer look at the new Umbro x Slam Jam collection above and it’s available to shop now via select retailers.
