In 2011, Tim Cook was named the successor to the previously position held by Steve Jobs until his passing. Now the highest paid CEO in the world, Cook’s switch-up of Apple’s internal operations united the company’s strategy under an altered executive team. It was never easy to follow in the footsteps of Jobs and for longtime fans, they felt a certain lack of presence during the usual product launches. Nevertheless, Cook himself has expressed a sense of openness regarding labor issues at Apple supplier factories and pushing for equality in the workforce. His take on the impact of discrimination and other issues shows a socially-conscious mindset, while still manning the massive Apple ship through continually desirable product.
