The end of Daft Punk’s lengthy hiatus delivered Random Access Memories to the ears of listeners worldwide. The French duo successfully conveyed an updated rendition of their signature disco-imbued sound; bringing on-board collaborators in the form of Pharrell Williams, Giorgio Moroder, Paul Williams and Todd Edwards to create one of the most anticipated musical projects of the year. In concurrance with the album, an assemblage of hard-copy publications chose to pick the brains of robots Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo and Thomas Bangalter on the inspiration behind their magnum opus. Most memorably, Hedi Slimane got behind the lens for an edition of Dazed & Confused, in addition to GQ choosing the now-iconic musicians for a prominent feature in May.
