Justin Timberlake unveiled the outcome of his return to the studio in January of 2013 with The 20/20 Experience, premiering “Suit & Tie” with Jay Z as his first single. The second installment in the album arrived midway through the year, once again turning to Timbaland to help him on both the first and second volumes. Greeted positively, Timberlake’s charismatically soulful vibe was in form, almost as though his standing hiatus had never occurred. Typical song-length extended to around seven minutes in some cases; past the norm of previous offerings from JT or even radio-friendly music in general for that matter. These ballad-like productions translated nicely into the live performances for tours to follow, including one in support of the album in addition to a co-headlining stint with Jay Z for the ‘Legends of the Summer Stadium Tour.’
