One year following the ‘Free Earl’ mania, Earl Sweatshirt has sprung from the status of Odd Future accessory into a poised and arresting new artist. The youthful face of conscious rap in ironic packaging, Earl came forth with a matured understanding of wordplay and complex rhymes that reverberated through the tonality of 2013’s Doris.
