In the limitless sea of G-Shock collaborations to celebrate G-Shock’s 25th anniversary, the
Japanese mixed martial artist and UCS founder Caol Uno has launched a successful label on the backs of his in-ring performance. While many pieces releasing often shy away from his athletic background, nevertheless new for 2008 fall is a collaborative effort with fleece and sporting brand Champion. Having seen better times in North America including sponsorship of the US Olympic team, Champion has still maintained a decent following in Japan. The tops and bottoms are available for pre-order in three different colors at Cueve.
An early look into Japanese MMA fighter and Nike sponsored Caol Uno’s 2008 fall/winter collection for UCS has been provided via Cueve. The aesthetics and stylings portrayed by UCS is a marked difference relative to the brands of his American MMA inspired counterparts which focus largely on logo driven designs, creating a visible difference in approach to their lines. For UCS, the collection is diverse including technical jackets, denim and hats produced in association with hat brand CA4LA. The items won’t release until November, however they are currently available for pre-order.
