“Pinrolling” means rolling up your jeans for the purpose of not getting your kicks stained by the denim or if you’re a fixed gear rider, then its to avoid the oil on the chain ring. However, pinrolling has slowly became a style on its own perpetuated by “What Did You Wear Today” threads on various message boards. Here’s the latest from Levi’s Fenom which are the Rollup Cropped Color Jeans. These jeans have already been shortened saving you the trouble of rolling them up. Coming in three colors, these jeans are now available at Tab Device.
BBC | Ice Cream are set to release these new items this weekend as part of their 2008 spring/summer collection. Look for products to include t-shirts, denim shirts, 3/4 pants and bandannas with designs very much consistent with the Pharrell headed brand. For Japanese stylist Ryoji Honma, the creation of his brand 2-tacs was on the basis that his brand concept would embody two tactics. The re-use of old vintage styles coupled with a stylistic re-reinterpretation can be seen over many of 2-tacs products. Teaming up with Porter, the two have produced items including a messenger bag and denim. An interesting concept on the denim is the inclusion of built-in denim pouch. Available now via allbeams.com.
Bringing to the table a wealth of experience in numerous fields, Hong Kong’s Know1edge has flourished season to season with a line that has consistently been making its mark. Their minute details rarely go unnoticed and seem to be the basis for many of their designs which ultimately bring everything together to create an extremely pleasing package. Their 2008 summer collection seen here delves deeply into the use of patterns. Among our favorites this season is the denim which includes contrasting denim against the main use of raw denim and multi-colored selvedge. Available now at select retailers and 8five2.
Levi’s exclusive Japanese Fenom collection has unveiled an all new style titled the Conb-Disco. Undergoing Fenom’s trademark “Crash” distressing, the jean’s details go beyond the rips to also include the inclusion of Swarovski crystals on the yoke, back pocket and zipper. A 505 cut and 207 cut are available. They are currently sold out at Levi’s E-Shop, however look for them to release at selected stockists.
Levi’s Fenom has kept it consistent with a Western theme and released a latest collection of button-up shirts. The summer short-sleeve shirts feature a striped motif with different colorations and washes. Inside the pocket is the trademark Fenom logo. Available now at select Levi’s Fenom dealers.
Levi’s Oldest Oldest Pack features the recreation of one of Levi’s oldest living memories from the illustrious Levi’s archives. Uncovered in 1875, the Oldest Oldest denim overalls were found in a Nevada mining town. While the original pair is at Levi’s headquarters in San Francisco locked away in a fire-proof safe, Levi’s have recreated this important piece of history. The 9 oz denim features shank buttons, patented rivets, single needle Arcrute, cinch back and a lone back pocket. Available with a vintage styled shirt and back, the Oldest Oldest pack is currently only available for pre-order among hanon shop’s Silver and Gold members.
CLS brand founder Takahiro Okazawa has previewed some of his brands upcoming denim. Improving on material staple such as denim, CLS has incorporated several enhanced features such as water repellency and front zipper pockets to create a new level of technical denim.
San Francisco’s Invisble Stripes retailer are releasing their first pair of denim later this month. The straight leg relaxed raw denim features a leather patch, plaid lining and double back pockets. Each rivet is also marked with Invisible Stripes for an added touch. The limited run of 50 pairs will each be screen printed with an #X of 50 print. Available on Saturday, May 31st at Invisible Stripes.
