Upon the unveiling of UNDFTD’s Boston Sucks t-shirt in relation with this years NBA Championship finals between the Lakers and the Celtics, we knew it was just a matter of time before Boston had its rebuttal. Enter sneaker store Bodega and Damaged who together have created the “This is Boston, Not LA” t-shirt, inspired by a 1982 hardcore punk compilation of the same name which included some of Boston’s biggest acts at the time.
One of the most anticipated Reebok dual label sneaker projects is set for release on May 31st at Bodega (6 clearway st.).
Designed by Bodega, the Escape Pack was inspired by the renegade, borderline legal, semi-dangerous, insanely cheap, revolutionary, independently run bus lines that link Boston’s Chinatown to NYCs Chinatown.
Retailing for $200 USD, the pack includes everything you need to escape to another city for an overnight excursion. An exquisitely designed Reebok Omni Pump Lite is the centerpiece of the project featuring a luminous jade and charcoal color-way detailed with a map of the route embossed on the ankle collar. A matching 5-panel cap by “ELM” and tee are also included in the pack. Various essentials including, but not limited to, mix-tapes, rolling, papers, paint markers, and good luck charms round out the contents of this extremely limited release. Only 100 Escape packs have been produced. Within ONE of the packs is a GOLDEN TICKET upgrade. The lucky winner of the upgrade will get airfare to anywhere in the continental US, as well as a suitcase filled with past limited releases from Reebok.

New circumstances have allowed for the additional release of another 200 pairs of Bodega x Reebok Pump Omni Lites in the form of the Travel Pack. Unlike the comprehensive Escape Pack ($200) outlined above, the Travel Pack ($150) features a gym sack and a pack of lucky charms. The Escape Pack is ONLY available at Bodega, however the Travel Pack will be available at Alife Rivingtion Club(NYC), Ubiq (Philly), UNDEFEATED(La), Livestock(Toronto & Vancouver), Kicks/ Hi (HI), St. Alfred (Chicago), Huf (SF), ACU(Shanghai).
Sneaker Auction is an all new concept from Robot is the Future’s Set Free. As the name states, its inaugural event at Bodega in Boston will bring a new live element to the world of sneaker bidding and buying. The concept will have upcoming yet to be released sneakers up for grabs, be the first to wear a fresh pair of kicks a month before the release date. Aside from sneakers up on the auction block, the event will feature the well known Prince Paul spinning the beats.

A new twist has been revealed for the Bodega x Puma Spy II Hi. A gray version references the mysterious gray spy which was seen in MAD Magazine’s popular comic between ‘62 and ‘65. Apparently a special hidden message that requires decoding will yield methods on how to obtain this special 30 pair Friends & Family release. The regular version will release February 23rd at Bodega (Boston), Ubiq (Philadelphia), Huf (San Francisco), ALIFE (New York), Premium Goods (Houston), Undefeated (Los Angeles – La Brea location), Classic Kicks (New York), Livestock (Toronto), and Atmos (New York).
PUMA® introduces the PUMA x BDGA Spy II Hi, a special limited edition shoe featuring Mad Magazine’s classic Spy vs. Spy characters, created in collaboration with the magazine and Boston-based lifestyle boutique, Bodega.
This limited edition shoe is based on PUMA’s classic Sky II Hi silhouette and is loaded with details inspired by the classic comic strip. It features premium leather, translucent outsoles with the Spy characters underneath, a removable footbed complete with bullet holes, hidden messages, dynamite hangtags, and even a secret stash pocket holding a message to be decoded.

BODEGA and MONTANA COLORS is proud to present a special commemorative can celebrating the life of the legendary Dondi White. Working with the Estate of Dondi White and Designer Damion Silver this limited edition can is available through BODEGA Boston with half the proceeds going to support the Dondi White foundation.
Established in April 2003, the Dondi White foundation raises funds for AIDS charities through various activities and events in the arts community. The contributions made in the memory of Dondi White will be used to support educational programs on HIV/AIDS prevention and services aimed at improving the lives of those affected by AIDS. Spy vs. Spy is a wordless black and white comic strip created by Cuban Antonio Prohias. The comic has been published in Mad magazine since 1961 and is inspired by the Cold War of that era. Bodega and Puma has taken this and created a sneaker based of the Sky II but renamed it to the Spy II. Detail wise you won’t find much better than this shoe as it includes things like the Morse code, bullet holes and dynamtic swing tags. To celebrate the trials and tribulations of celebrated artist Dondi White, Bodega teamed up with Montana Colors to create a special limited edition can. Designed by Damion Silver and the estate of Dondi White, half of the proceeds from this Bodega exclusive can will support the Dondi White Foundation. Created in 2003, the Dondi White Foundation supports the fight against AIDS through various mediums. Bodega has also set up an upcoming Arechology Rewards exhibition outlining some of Dondi White’s most prolific works.
For the late great “Style Master General” Dondi White, he served as one of the era’s greatest artists with a spray can. His works seen on various MTA trains in New York became well known highlights and were associated with some of the most influential works in graffiti. Complications from AIDS took Dondi White’s life at the tender age of 37. In light of this, the Dondi White Foundation was created in 2003 to fund programs for AIDS/HIV prevention and services for the betterment of those living with this ailment.
For Converse’s 1HUND(RED) campaign, Dondi’s brother Michael and the White family provided imagery from Dondi’s personal journal to create the basis for a design on a Pro Leather oxford shoe. The sneaker will drop alongside an exhibition of Dondi White’s intricate art work which has seen him exhibit in solo shows around the world. The sneaker will be available this month at Bodega with a price of $90. 10% from the wholesale price will be donated to The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria (Geneva, Switzerland).
In conjunction with their upcoming Jack Purcell Mid, Boston’s Bodega has cooked up a fitted cap to match their lumberjack inspired Purcell. The rustic looking Purcell features simple flannel highlights which can also be seen on the fitted cap. No definitive date has been set for the release but expect them to drop sometime in November.
