These Vans Sk8-His are a result of a collaboration between Vans and Niagara, a Detroit based artist and musician. A founding member of the proto-punk band Destroy All Monsters, she has of late risen to notoriety through her artwork. A cynical mix of Lichtenstein style comic strip women & riot girl attitudes, her pieces are highly sought after in the Lowbrow art scene. The uppers of the sneaker each possess different colors of checkerboard material ranging from blue/black and orange/black on the outstep to red/white and black/white on the instep.
