These Vans Sk8-His are a result of a collaboration between Vans and Niagara, a Detroit based artist and musician. A founding member of the proto-punk band Destroy All Monsters, she has of late risen to notoriety through her artwork. A cynical mix of Lichtenstein style comic strip women & riot girl attitudes, her pieces are highly sought after in the Lowbrow art scene. The Sk8-Hi model juxtaposes a subtle black color scheme with splashes of bright yellow and red mixed in with artwork depicting martini glasses and glass bottles. Sure to be an attention grabbing release, these have already released at DQM.

The uppers of the sneaker each possess different colors of checkerboard material ranging from blue/black and orange/black on the outstep to red/white and black/white on the instep. Source: essense
