Becoming the posterchild for affordable and durable watches, through 25 years Casio G-Shock has been put through its paces. Two new packs include the 25th Anniversary special edition Ocean Gray set and the Rastafarian pack. The Ocean Gray pack includes translucent rubber throughout in a special collectors box. The Rastafarian movement has unfortunately become mostly associated and reduced to a palette of colors as it is seen here on this other pack of G-Shocks. Both will release in Japan on March 21st.

The 104th result of a Bape and Casio G-Shock collaboration will release later this month. The DW-6900 model has a black body with yellow accents forming the text while the chronometer dials are filled in with red and green. Available later this month March 20th, at Bape Taipei.

For this years Valentine’s Day, mastermind JAPAN and Casio have teamed up on a box set of watches. Featuring two of G-Shock’s most popular models, the DW-5600 and DW-6900, the watch colorways are largely uninfluenced by your typical Valentines Day colors remaining faithful to mmJ’s use of the color black and skulls. Getting a G-Shock produced from Casio is no easy feat. First you have to know the guys at Casio, then you or your brand has to be cool enough to qualify. That bring us to this new G-Shock collaboration watch with Atmos Tokyo. Atmos is a Japanese brand & shop have been one of the entities that have kept the streetwear movement alive in Japan. They have chosen the popular DW-5600E-1 for their collaboration watch which features a white colorway, a strap that has star patten embossed onto it, a custom lasered back panel and a custom watch face. It even comes in a special box. This watch will be available starting April 1st and will retail for 15,750 Yen. Available at Atmos Tokyo.
It’s been awhile since the original debut G-Shock from Casio 25 years ago, but the timeless design and functionality have still made it relevant today. At the recent Agenda trade show, In4mation debuted an upcoming bright and glossy G-Shock. The old generation meets the new with XLarge hooking up with The Hundreds in a California affair. The two heavyweights worked together on the highly overdone G-Shock DW-6900. The watch strap features print seen on recent The Hundreds releases with an XL/TH design seen on the watch face. The box also includes the XLarge ape as well as a special collaborative crest. Referencing the classic colors of the original Air Max 95, Japanese sneaker-inspired label Kiks Tyo teamed up with Casio G-Shock to release a special watch. The 25th anniversary watch is solar powered with a backlight featuring Kiks’ skull logo stamp. The watch is complimented by an original Kiks Tyo designed mini shoe box. Available now through Kiks Tyo with a price of approximately $228 USD.
To commemorate Japanese and Celtic FC footballer Shunsuke Nakamura’s 2006/2007 Scottish Premier League’s MVP award, a limited edition DW-5600 has recently been released. The watch also marks the 25th Anniversary (same number as Nakamura) of Casio G-Shock. Available in Japan through e-Casio.
Mastermind Japan has followed in the footsteps of every other Japanese brand to create their collection of G-Shocks. In a predictable collabo of sorts, the watch is black in color with skulls on the dial. Both a DW-5600 and DW-6900 will release in a set on Valentines Day.

Early next year, G-Shock will release their Vivid Colors Collection. The solid colored offerings are available in a Christmas-like array of colors with the LCD screen matched up with the body color of the watch. Other features include G-Shock’s Tough Solar (solar powered) tech as well as a shock resistant 200 m resistancy to water. Available in January with a suggested price of $120 USD.
A series of artists teamed up with G-Shock to produce a collection of customized watches. At the basis of each artist design is a simple black/black watch. From there an impressive list of artists which include Eric Elms, Madsaki, Rostarr and DQM each put their personal touches on the classic DW-5600 model. A total of 4 artist watches and a standard 5th model will go on pre-sale November 22nd at nano・universe.
The 40th Anniversary of the iconic Japanese superhero Ultra Seven has yielded a special collaboration with Casio G-Shock and toy series Kubrick. This year also represents the 25th Anniversary of the G-Shock line as well. The special products for this collaboration come packaged in a special commemorative box alongside an all-red DW-6900 G-Shock Casio watch and Ultra Seven Kubrick figures. Available at FIEIL.
