Description

Abe Burmeister is the founder of clothing brand Outlier. Burmeister has no formal fashion training and started out his career as a freelance graphic designer. Frustrated for not finding the perfect everyday pant, Burmeister took upon his own personal project in creating his own pair. It started with a trip to a kiosk at 39th and 7th in New York City’s Garment District in Manhattan where he made a pair for himself that he intended to wear everyday, especially for cycling. After a successful sale via the Internet, Burmeister realized what a great product he had produced. He eventually founded Outlier five years later in June of 2008 with Tyler Clemens, and with only 12 employees, he designed an even better product, which is now the famous pant silhouette, the OG Pants, that lies at the core of his Outlier brand. Burmeister is constantly hunting for new fabrics every year to feature in his collections.
