Yoon is a female force in streetwear and high fashion. When she’s not creating for her clothing and jewelry line AMBUSH, she’s leading the charge at Dior men’s jewelry alongside friend and co-collaborator Kim Jones.
This year, Yoon set the tone high and early for her brand with an AMBUSH x Disney x UNIQLO UT capsule. The small range of tees, outerwear, hats and accessories were all emblazoned with Mini Mouse illustrations. In April, AMBUSH dropped an artisanal range online which was only previously available in Tokyo. The release included some intricately cut-and-sewn pieces such as a patchwork denim jacket, metal-embellished bomber and a printed noragi jacket. The year also saw Yoon collaborate with luxury label BVLGARI for a capsule of leather accessories from the Italian brand’s Serpenti line. The goods, mostly bags and wallets, were also shot for a campaign featuring superstar model Bella Hadid.
2020 also wouldn’t be complete without a Nike collab from Yoon. An AMBUSH x Nike Dunk High in black and white released in December along with a basketball-driven capsule. Converse, also a part of the Nike family, linked up with Yoon for a pair of AMBUSH x Converse duckboots and two Chuck 70s covered in fur material.
