Award-winning designer Craig Green is never without any new groundbreaking ideas. His creations always leave a lasting impression in terms of grandeur, color and texture. Clothing becomes sculptures and his artful take on everyday staples ensure shoppers will never have a mundane wardrobe. Other brands have taken notice as well and adidas tapped the creative this year for a set of sneaker releases featuring Green’s textural and boldly-colored direction. The models of choice included the Kontuur III, Rivalry Polta AKH and Superstar, while an earlier drop consisted of the Boston Super, Kamanda and Samba. Footwear brand Grenson also revisited its Craig Green partnership with some pared-down styles in strictly black tones.

Moncler’s Genius project also saw a continuation with its work alongside Craig Green. For the conceptual part of the team-up, Green crafted awe-inspiring garments akin to samurai armor and insect-like forms. The more practical offerings from the partnership, however, were colorful outerwear pieces in vibrant shades of neon green, pink, blue and more. Craig Green was also tapped by Champion this year to create sportswear from the brand’s archives. The result was a fresh take on the iconic brand’s tried-and-true staples which were given graphic updates as well as sculptural cuts.
