JJJJound has come a long way from its days as an inspirational Blogspot destination to a design force in the world of street culture. The man behind the four Js, Justin Saunders was once an art director for rapper Kanye West’s creative firm DONDA. These days, Saunders is curating aesthetically pleasing visuals on his Instagram which include travel landscapes, vintage cars, closeups of mundane objects and the occasional plantlife porn. Followers of the account are also frequently notified of when new minimalist goods from the brand are available on the webshop.
It’s been difficult to define what JJJJound is but 2020 gave the public a better idea what the creative studio from Montreal is all about. Pared down vibes is the name of the game for the careful curator as silent releases of simple clothing staples, accessories and home goods are uploaded to the webstore. Then there are the sneaker collaborations from this year. 2020 made way for JJJJound to collaborate with Reebok and New Balance for some covetably clean designs.
