just personal taste, but it actually is a pretty nice frame, it would have been nice to see it built up with some classic road parts instead of just another conversion. That's just my 2 cents though, as long as your riding all is well.

you need the lower the stem, raise the seat and change the pedal straps to some REAL vintage ones
Mar 09, 2011 @ 17:27
if i wanted standard cages + straps, i'd have put them on. for me, platform pedals + velcro straps are more comfortable, feel more secure, and are easier to get my feet into.

i dont get how no matter what part im trying to buy there is NO PRICE point for anything.. Ill see some bars for 120 on like 3 sites than ill find a site for 80 then 60.

The stem I want is listed on probikekit as 120+ for the black one and like 60$ for the SAME stem in silver like what the fuck?

I'm still seeing like 10+ online stores selling the vigorelli 899$ even though sites selling them for less than 700 are not sold out.

Theres a crazy number of sites selling the campy record crank for 400+ when its crazy easy to find it for less than 300 by searching on google.

are these expensive stores selling anything or what does anyone know whats the cause of the huge differences in prices (sometimes 2-3x more expensive on some sites than others)

Picking up a ready for paint Sakae Ringyo frame set this weekend to start a build for a friend or me, depending how much I spend. blushing
Mar 14, 2011 @ 13:29
Honestly research a bit more on some real bike forums so you don't end up spending a bunch on a shit bike (as I did last year) and end up building a whole other bike after you learn a bit about bikes and realize you dont like yours as much as a bike you could've built up for less money.

Mar 14, 2011 @ 22:24
what was your bike?
Mar 15, 2011 @ 00:22
langsters are good bikes, and cheaper iirc (don't quote me on that) than the pista. if you like they way it looks then go with that.

^ what's the point in having two bikes that do exactly the same thing? i'd sooner slap gears on that nishiki than convert it

first bike in a long time
fuji feather 2010 copped for $350 brand new
i thought it was a good deal since its my first fixed gear bike and all.
thoughts?
Mar 18, 2011 @ 05:59
Really indecisive on what color Kilo TT I should get, lol. I'm thinking either purple or gold. I'm buying a 2nd fixed gear so I can ride with my girlfriend. Here's my current one. Windsor Hour...

Mar 18, 2011 @ 06:09
kilos are horrible because of the foot overlap. i know, i have one. i wouldnt recommend them
Mar 18, 2011 @ 06:45
I forgot they overlap. I have a friend who has one, maybe I'll try his out and see. The sizes run bigger, right? I have a 52cm Windsor Hour, should I get a 50cm Kilo TT?
Mar 18, 2011 @ 15:46

sanding today and priming today blushing
Mar 18, 2011 @ 17:55
most track bikes overlap because of the tight geometry but you get used to it and syncronise your movements after a while. plus the overlap only happens at slow speeds since thats the only time when you turn your front wheel far enough

That's because it is a TRACK bike..
Kilo is fully backed.

Awesome frame.

i've riden a kilo before and never dealt with toe overlap, just be conscious when you're turning br0
