Description

Founded in 1966 in Vicenza, Veneto, Bottega Veneta translates simply to “Venetian Shop.” Like many Italian luxury brands, it began life as a fine leather goods manufacturer. Today, the ready-to-wear label is best known for its distinctive intrecciato weave. Bottega fell out of favor in the ‘80s, until it was purchased by Gucci Group in 2001, which put Tomas Maier at the helm of the brand. Daniel Lee picked up the post in 2018 and has since made the “Venetian Shop” a favorite of a whole new generation.
