Created for this year’s Salone del Mobile, leather specialists Bottega Veneta recently opened a pop-up location in Milan. Complimenting the unveiling of a new suite of luxurious housewares and furniture, the store is located on the fourth floor of its new Milanese HQ. Created by Japanese artisans and master craftsmen, the theme is accordingly “Made in Japan”. Selected by creative director, Tomas Maier, and Seiichi Kamei, the editor-in-chief of Japanese design and architecture magazine Casa Brutus, items include Akita cedar wooden pitchers by Yasutaka Shimizu, hand-cut Shippo Kiriko glasses by Glass Forest, as well as a selection of handbags, messenger bags, totes and wallets made by Maier.
