A Bathing Ape, also known as BAPE, is a Japanese streetwear brand founded in 1993 by NIGO. It encompasses men’s, women’s and children’s clothing, as well as a variety of accessories and lifestyle items. In 2011, it was announced that Hong Kong-based fashion conglomerate I.T Group purchased the brand for $2.8 million USD, and by 2013 NIGO had stepped down from the brand’s creative helm.

Bape Paper Version 8.0 has just been released. The latest issue celebrates the 15th anniversary of Bape as well as the announcement of an upcoming LA store, some upcoming releases, and exclusive items. The products showcased include a Gold Members exclusive dress shirt, that can be embroidered with initials; a few White Label tees, including the classic “Ape Shall Never Kill Ape” font design; and an upcoming collabo with renowned german luggage maker RIMOWA. For all Bapeheads, the relaunch of Bape.com is definitely very good news. Their previous website was quite cumbersome to use as you had to download their very own Bape application in order to see the content. This made it quite difficult for Bapeheads to check what’s new on a daily basis. Content wise, everything is pretty much the same as before. You can still check out the latest news and products from the brand as well as take a look at some of Bape’s other ventures like the Bape Cafe, Bape Cuts, Bape Sounds and more. To celebrate the 15th Anniversary of Bape, the Japanese brand has release a series of 15th Anniversary T-shirts. Four different tees will be offered from this collection with all of them utilizing the “15” for the frontside graphic. With a concert date set for April 10th, Bape has released pictures of products released in conjunction with their musical event, World Wide Bape Heads Show.
