MARK & LONA and ASICS are giving the Tassel Striders a monochrome reset for FW26, rebuilding the collaborative golf shoe in black nubuck-style leather and white patent accents. The new model keeps the shape of the earlier, well-received Tassel Striders while reworking its materials and colors from top to bottom.

The silhouette starts on the basketball court. The Tassel Striders is based on the FABRE JAPAN S, a basketball shoe ASICS released in 1981 that became a long-running favorite with players. MARK & LONA adapted that design for golf and layered in its own design language, and this latest version keeps that shape intact while changing almost everything on the surface.

Most of the change is in the upper, which is made from a black synthetic leather with a soft, nubuck-like finish. MARK & LONA’s BLOCK logo is embossed across the entire surface, adding raised texture without introducing any new color. The ASICS stripes stand out in glossy white patent synthetic leather, and the contrast between the matte black base and the shiny stripes gives the shoe its look.

The function is aimed at the course. A removable cover over the laces cuts down on sand and debris getting in, and the shoe looks noticeably different with the cover on or off. Two sets of laces in different colors come in the box for further adjustments. Inside, a water-repellent lining handles changing conditions during a round, though MARK & LONA notes the shoe is not fully waterproof. A spikeless outsole built specifically for golf provides grip and stability on the grass across long rounds.

The shoe is designed to be unisex and comes in sizes from 23 to 29.5 centimeters. That wide range and the clean black-and-white palette make the Tassel Striders easy to pair with a broad range of golf wardrobes.
