Rockstar Games’ Grand Theft Auto VI made an unexpected cameo on South Park this week, with Wednesday’s episode airing new footage of the open-world title ahead of its November release. The clip lands roughly two-thirds of the way into the episode, when the boys visit a cattle ranch and are treated to a demo by Ruth Chris, a new character who bears a strong resemblance to Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse founder Ruth Fertel.
The footage centers on Jason Duval, one of the game’s leads, getting into a fight with another man on Vice Beach. Ruth Chris walks the boys through the scene’s mechanics as it plays, explaining that players can grab the dog waste, hurl objects at the person holding it and, if that person retaliates, turn the waste itself into a weapon. “Look at that, the graphics are seriously next level. You see the world-building?” Ruth Chris says in the episode.
The rest of the episode takes aim at inflation, President Trump’s tariff pause on beef and elite food culture, kicking off when soaring beef prices push the renamed South America Elementary to drop Sloppy Joes from its lunch menu. The boys’ quest to win back the town’s prized beef unravels into a recurring gross-out bit in which diners who can afford the meat literally explode.
Grand Theft Auto VI launches November 18.
