Nike has crafted the Nike Caitlin 1 “Duke” PE, outfitting the Duke University women’s basketball team with a custom player-exclusive rendition of Caitlin Clark‘s debut signature silhouette. The special makeup arrives for the Blue Devils despite Clark having previously competed against the program during her collegiate career at Iowa.
The performance model is constructed with a predominantly black upper utilizing Nike’s OptiCast material, which integrates custom “2” and “C” graphics finished in signature Duke blue. Black extends across the tongue, laces, and sculpted midsole to provide a clean, uniform backdrop. Bright white accents offer sharp visual contrast, defining the lateral Swoosh, the Blue Devils’ hallmark “D” insignia on the tongue, and Clark’s “CC” branding along the medial support shank.
The custom sneaker expands Duke’s growing roster of exclusive on-court footwear, which recently included a Sabrina 4 PE rendered in blue, white, and black with the program’s emblem, alongside several player-exclusive models supplied from Nike’s signature basketball category throughout the past year.
The Nike Caitlin 1 “Duke” PE will not be released to the public, remaining strictly exclusive to the Duke women’s basketball program.
