WIND AND SEA is bringing together music, gaming and fashion with a three-way collaboration featuring Technics and PaRappa the Rapper, celebrating the opening of its new flagship space at Shibuya PARCO in Tokyo. The collection celebrates the convergence of real-life DJ heritage and gaming nostalgia by highlighting PJ Berri, the DJ character from PaRappa the Rapper, alongside Technics’ legendary SL-1200 direct-drive turntable.
Directly referencing the SL-1200’s design and hip-hop legacy since its 1972 debut, the capsule integrates the turntable’s control button labels and details across track jackets, track pants, and custom DJ slipmats. A centerpiece of the collection is a limited-edition Numbering Stadium Jacket, produced in a run capped at 72 individually serialized pieces as a tribute to the SL-1200’s launch year.
Elsewhere, graphic hoodies, crewneck sweatshirts and T-shirts feature illustrations of PJ Berri and PaRappa alongside Technics branding, combining the game’s cartoon aesthetic with vintage music merchandise influences. Accessories further reinforce the crossover, including DJ slipmats, embroidered caps, knit beanies, a graphic blanket, jewelry, drum bags and character keychains. A silver PaRappa plush toy completes the range, extending the collection’s playful visual identity beyond apparel.
Prices range from ¥2,500 JPY – ¥90,000 JPY (approx. $16 – $569 USD), the Technics x PaRappa the Rapper x WIND AND SEA collection celebrates the opening of WIND AND SEA’s new Shibuya PARCO store on October 23, 2026, located on the shopping complex’s fifth floor. The new store will operate daily from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., offering a dedicated destination for the label’s latest exploration of fashion, music and gaming culture.
