Brooks Brothers and Champion are bringing together two pillars of American style for their first collaboration, a Japan-exclusive collection that bridges preppy tradition with collegiate sportswear. Founded in New York in 1818 and Rochester in 1919, respectively, the brands draw on their shared American heritage through Champion’s signature Made in USA Reverse Weave® construction.
The men’s lineup comprises crewneck sweatshirts, hoodies and sweatpants made from heavyweight 12.5-ounce USA cotton-blend fleece, alongside a Brooks Brothers button-down shirt. The sweats feature arched “Brooks Brothers” graphics reminiscent of vintage collegiate apparel and externally placed dual-brand labels at the back of the collar, with the men’s styles offered across classic navy, gray, green, brown, white and black tones.
The collaboration also digs deeper into Brooks Brothers’ archive with a white button-down modeled after a six-button style sold in the U.S. during the 1980s. Crafted from 100% American Supima cotton Oxford cloth, the shirt faithfully recreates details including the original yoke proportions, front cut, cuffs, placket and “Makers” woven label, while co-branded embroidery brings Champion into the otherwise traditional design.
For women, Made in USA Reverse Weave® crewnecks and hoodies use the same heavyweight foundation but soften the collegiate treatment with felt Brooks Brothers lettering, arriving in navy, gray and white. Prices range from ¥28,600 JPY (approx. $181 USD) for the button-down to ¥44,000 JPY (approx. $278 USD)for the women’s hoodie, with the Brooks Brothers x Champion collection available now exclusively in Japan through Brooks Brothers stores, excluding outlets and the brand’s official Japanese online store.
