BEAMS x Lacoste Turned the Iconic Crocodile Into a "BEAMS" Logo for the Label's 50th

Summary
BEAMS has teamed up with Lacoste on a matching Plaid Hooded Jacket and Plaid Pants as part of its 50th anniversary collaborations
Both pieces use patterns made from scratch for the project, rather than reworked versions of existing Lacoste styles
A plaid built around Lacoste's sportswear look runs across both pieces, finished with a crocodile graphic spelling out "BEAMS"
BEAMS and Lacoste have released a Plaid Hooded Jacket and Plaid Pants, a two-piece setup made to celebrate the Japanese retailer’s 50th anniversary. Instead of putting a BEAMS label on an existing Lacoste design, the pair built both garments from the pattern up. They share a fabric and a print, so they can be worn as a full set or split up.
The print is the main draw. The check is original to the collab, built around the clean, athletic look Lacoste is known for, and it runs across both the jacket and the pants. The other signature detail is a custom graphic that keeps the outline of Lacoste’s crocodile emblem and works the “BEAMS” name into it.
The jacket is a hooded blouson with a roomy, boxy cut, and the pants follow the same easygoing shape. Worn together, they read as a relaxed, sporty set made for weekends rather than anything tailored. The beige version leans warm and vintage, while the navy is the more understated of the two.
The setup sits inside a larger BEAMS x Lacoste capsule that also includes a striped shirt, a long-sleeve polo in heavy piqué and a thermal T-shirt with a logo, all made for the anniversary.
The BEAMS x Lacoste Plaid Hooded Jacket and Plaid Pants are available now via the BEAMS online store.
