FC Barcelona has officially debuted its new “Barça Mamba” away kit on the pitch during a match against Elche CF. Taking the field on Kobe Bryant’s birthday, the Spanish club honored the legendary athlete by bringing his iconic spirit directly to football.
The kit showcases a striking purple and yellow design, drawing direct visual inspiration from Kobe Bryant’s court-side legacy. Built around the ethos of Bryant’s signature “Mamba Mentality,” the jersey translates court-side focus and relentless drive straight onto the pitch. The jerseys feature a black to purple gradient from the shoulders to the bottom of the shirt, while the shorts come in all-purple but with a subtle snakeskin texture pattern as a nod to the Black Mamba. The socks, shorts and jersey all feature the signature sheath logo which received an iridescent transformation. The team’s track jacket also received a “Barça Mamba” makeover, arriving in black and purple snakeskin texture to match the aesthetic. On the other hand, the goalie jersey is entirely in a golden yellow snakeskin pattern, keeping in line with the purple and gold team Bryant spent his entire career.
