FX has officially confirmed that American Horror Story Season 13 will premiere on FX and Hulu on September 24, 2026. Reported by Variety, the highly anticipated series return will feature a star-studded cast including franchise legends alongside a host of high-profile newcomers to the anthology universe.
Created by Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk, the thirteenth season marks the highly anticipated return of series mainstays Jessica Lange—marking her first appearance in the franchise since 2018’s Apocalypse—and Sarah Paulson, who will reprise her role as Cordelia Goode, the Supreme of the Coven. The all-star ensemble also welcomes back Evan Peters, Angela Bassett, Kathy Bates, Emma Roberts, Billie Lourd, Gabourey Sidibe, and Leslie Grossman. This heavy reunion of fan favorites has prompted speculation that the season will revisit the mythology of Season 3’s Coven. New faces joining the universe include pop star Ariana Grande, John Waters, Paul Anthony Kelly, Joey Pollari, and Alex Consani.
To build anticipation, FX is launching a “13 Flavors” activation at San Diego Comic-Con this July. The experience features four themed ice cream trucks serving custom treats inspired by past seasons. On Saturday evening, attendees will be invited to a secret location to experience a mysterious “13th scoop” meant to tease the upcoming season.
American Horror Story Season 13 premieres September 24, 2026, on FX and Hulu.
