Summary

Studio LOHO transformed a Bruges brush factory into Jonojé, a six-suite luxury B&B.

The 1,000-square-meter property doubles as an immersive gallery, showroom, and studio.

Suites feature bespoke interiors, including organic plaster and monolithic clay bathtubs.

Located on the outskirts of Bruges, Belgium, Jonojé Luxury Suites is conceived as a hybrid space combining a showroom, gallery, studio and guesthouse. Far transcending the traditional hotel experience, the listed building spans over 1,000 square meters and includes a sprawling 1,250-square-meter garden.

The six suites are designed as private sanctuaries, each featuring generous layouts, high ceilings and soundproofing to ensure tranquility. Interiors reflect Studio LOHO’s minimalist yet warm aesthetic, with curated furniture and art pieces that make each room feel like a gallery. Guests will discover organically plastered walls, freestanding ceramic shower cubicles, clay washbasins and unique cast floors decorated with graphic motifs crafted from clay residues. The spaces are further enhanced by organic ceramic switches designed by Maison Kallis and striking bamboo-slat structures, which are prominently featured in the ROKU suite. A standout highlight in the rooms is the studio’s famous ceramic bathtub, which is entirely modeled and fired from a single piece of clay.

Beyond its striking aesthetic appeal, Jonojé is designed to offer a welcoming and deeply soothing guest experience. Each suite is equipped with thoughtful conveniences, including a kitchenette complete with a dining table, refrigerator, minibar, coffee maker and kettle. Mornings at the property begin with a generous vegetarian breakfast served directly in the suite, highlighting homemade sourdough bread and whipped butter alongside a curated selection of cheeses, jams and spreads from local artisans.

To encourage exploration of Bruges and its picturesque surroundings, guests have access to rental bicycles and a digital concierge providing personalized tips and routes, ensuring an inspiring stay that perfectly balances innovative design with lasting comfort.
