gamma. Moves Into the Fashion World
In an exclusive to Hypebeast, Larry Jackson shares more about Maison gamma., the music media company’s first-ever foray into fashion, which comes released in partnership with Brooklyn-based Savant Studios.
As Larry Jackson’s gamma. gears up for one of its most anticipated album drops – and the music and fashion realms continue to merge in unprecedented manners – the music media imprint is already setting its sights on another major creative endeavor. With Ye‘s Bully just about 48 hours away, Jackson now seeks to expand gamma.’s artistic universe once again, as it introduces “gamma. Maison” with its first-ever foray into the fashion ether.
Maison gamma.’s inaugural drop lands in partnership with fellow cultural trailblazer, the Black-owned, Brooklyn-based atelier, Savant Studios.
“gamma. is so much more than a music company,” Jackson shared exclusively with Hypebeast. “We’re building an ecosystem where music, media, and design all connect. That’s been the vision from day one.”
Teaming with Savant Studios was a particularly intentional choice for Jackson as well, who prioritized a collaboration with a Black-owned, by-the-bootstraps business.
“Our collaboration with Savant Studios not only represents the intersection of culture and lifestyle that gamma. was built to champion,” continued Jackson. “But, it also serves as the official introduction of gamma. Maison, our new fashion and merch vertical. It’s a creative exchange that brings fashion into our evolving brand DNA.”
Helmed by New York City designer Michael Graham, Savant Studios brings its signature storytelling ethos to the merch drop, which spans a wide range of branded graphics, outerwear, and accessories. The collab’s hero piece flexes gamma.’s successes on its sleeve, literally. Aptly entitled the “Polaroid Jacket”, the silhouette is stamped with images of iconic gamma. artists throughout, including Mariah Carey, Snoop Dogg, Rick Ross, Usher, and Sexyy Red.
