Celebrating a year as the first-ever Creative Director of Ray-Ban, A$AP Rocky tapped rap legend Nas for a nostalgic short film showing his latest collection of specs. In the campaign, Rocky presents his debut metal-framed collection, which comes with his very first optical designs for the brand.

Bold wire frames and rimless styles echo vintage designs popular in the 90s, characterized by soft, oval curves and narrow rectangles. The overall tone of the collection is pared-back and luxurious, forgoing chunky frames for slimmer silhouettes, accentuated by metallic details.

For an ultra-minimal look, rimless options, both round and rectangular, allow the frames to take center stage in golden finishes. Additionally, an “unapologetically futuristic model” features a wraparound silhouette and will be available at limited stores.  Each style is offered in both optical and sun (brown and black) lenses.

The Ray-Ban collection closely follows A$AP Rocky’s AWGE show at NYFW, which took over a former downtown bank, and the launch of his jewelry line PAVE NITEO, which he wore to the Chanel couture show in January.


The A$AP Rocky x Ray-Ban Metals Collection is set to drop at the official Ray-Ban webstore and select physical locations.
