The Punkt MC03 Premium Secure Smartphone is a hardware-secured device designed for users prioritizing privacy and intentional technology use. Developed in collaboration with the security firm Grip, the MC03 is engineered to mitigate data-harvesting and surveillance through its proprietary Apostrophy (Aphy) operating system. Unlike traditional smartphones that rely on centralized cloud ecosystems, the MC03 features an integrated “Privacy Ledger” that provides real-time visibility into how apps access user data, alongside a suite of end-to-end encrypted tools for email, storage and communication.
From a design perspective, the MC03 reflects Punkt’s signature minimalist aesthetic, favoring tactile functionality over gimmicks. The device features a 6.7-inch FHD+ display and a robust build that houses a 5500mAh battery, supporting both 30W wired and 15W wireless charging.
A key hardware feature is the physical slider switch located on the side of the phone, which allows users to instantly disconnect the camera and microphone, providing a mechanical “kill switch” for absolute privacy. The MC03 is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 processor with 8 GB of RAM, offering reliable performance alongside a versatile triple-camera system (64 MP main, 8 MP ultra-wide, and 2 MP macro) and a 32 MP front-facing camera.
Priced at $699 USD, the MC03 is currently available for pre-order in Europe through its website. Shipping is slated for late January 2026, while North American availability is expected in Spring 2026.
