Ms. Lauryn Hill Brings Out Doechii for "Doo Wop (That Thing)" Performance
As well as a rendition of “Denial Is A River.”

Doechii just landed the ultimate co-sign. On the heels of her Grammys‘ sweep and her Paris Fashion Week takeover, the Swamp Princess joined Ms. Lauryn Hill during her set last night at the Jazz in the Gardens Festival in Miami, Florida.
Hill was the star performer of Saturday’s set, bringing out Florida’s very own Doechii to assist for an iconic rendition of “Doo Wop (That Thing).” The duo of “Best Rap Album” winners – the first-ever woman to win and the most recent woman to win – they delivered a performance of Doechii’s Alligator Bites Never Heal fan-favorite cut “Denial Is A River.”
“Thank you Miss Lauryn Hill. Thank you. My heart is so full. She is my hero. This is the greatest honor hip hop could give me. Praise God 🤎 … my entire body is vibrating with joy right now. I’ll never forget this day! EVER!,” Doechii shared in a post on X.
“I never been so nervous in my life 😭 she is a QUEEN.”
