FACETASM Joins Forces With Dickies on an Athletic-Focused Capsule Collaboration
The six piece capsule focuses on matching varsity jackets and track pants.
Tokyo-based FACETASM has come together with signature workwear brand Dickies for an elevated capsule of athletic-focused casual wear. Taking design notes from both brands, the collection takes the retro track pants and jacket look and reimagines them with the utilitarian and functionality of Dickies’ workwear styles.
In total, the collaborative capsule sees the brands release three pairs of workwear pants snap buttons on the side for the tearaway effect as well as matching varsity chore jackets. Arriving in three colorways — beige, black and purple — the oversized bomber chore jackets features FACETASM’s signature 7Bars motif on the front alongside a small Dickies logo on the front pocket. FACETASM’s branding in the varsity cursive font is prominently placed on the left sleeve. FACETASM draws a comparison to ’90s basketball tearaways where NBA stars often wore snap button pants so to easily dispatch them post warm-up. The pants’ silhouettes still take on the American label’s classic workwear structure, synonymous with its technical aesthetic. Simple and straightforward, the collaboration is all about functionality.
