At last, the latest project between AURALEE and New Balance is finally set to land on shelves. Initially revealed last June during AURALEE’s Spring/Summer 2024 runway show at Paris Fashion Week, the Japanese label helped introduce the world to the New Balance WRPD Runner, which later debuted as an in-line launch in August. Now, following last season’s collaborative take on the 1906R, the high-powered duo is set to drop its two takes on the WRPD Runner.

Utilizing color arrangements of “Dark Navy” and “Light Green Beige,” the WRPD Runner has been updated with a premium material composition of nubuck, suede and mesh at the upper while its signature sculpted sole unit returns with FuelCell-backed cushioning. Both colorways leverage monochromatic looks, emphasizing the sneaker’s sleek build. Absent of visible co-branding at the shoe’s exterior, the two instead opted to apply it to the sockliner and custom shoe box.

Release for AURALEE’s collaborative New Balance WRPD Runner in both “Dark Navy” and “Light Green Beige” is set to take place on April 18 via AURALEE, New Balance and select retailers worldwide. International pricing has not been disclosed, however, each pair will run you ¥26,400 JPY (approx. $172 USD) in Japan.
