As quarantine and self-isolation policies have become the norm due to the coronavirus outbreak, museums and libraries have released free downloadable coloring books based on their famous collections. Joining in on these “social distancing” activities, Chicago-born artist Hebru Brantley has created coloring book pages “to keep the kids entertained while we’re all at home these next few weeks.”

Brantley’s pages feature his young Black superheroes, aiming to introduce a new take on comic book characters to all audiences. His main character Flyboy is depicted shooting up into the air wearing his signature goggles and bandana, while Lil Mama is shown riding atop a cloud holding a flower in her hand. Another coloring page features different characters portrayed in the artist’s distinct comic-inspired style. “Please post so I can see everyone’s flyboy and lil mama artwork!” Brantley wrote on Instagram. “Stay safe, happy, and healthy.”

Check out the free coloring book pages above and download them via Google Drive now.

For more art from home, Hauser & Wirth will soon launch its first-ever online exhibition revolving around the drawings of the late French artist, Louise Bourgeois.
