Original Story: French Montana has recruited Blueface and Lil Tjay, two of hip-hop’s youngest rising stars, for his latest track “Slide.”
Sounding comfortable in their element, the three rappers compliment each other’s stylistic flows, ranging from the melodic use of autotune to Blueface’s stop-and-go pattern. An obvious homage to West Coast legends Snoop Dogg, The D.O.C., Tha Dogg Pound and Dr. Dre can also be heard halfway through the song, sampling the distinct intro of “Serial Killa” from Uncle Snoop’s 1993 album Doggystyle.
