Influenced by Hare Krishna robes and Bedouin clothing, Robert Geller‘s Spring/Summer 2019 collection takes the New York-based designer’s already-adventurous color palettes to the natural extreme. Experimenting with wash & dye techniques yields saturated, yet approachable, hues, further elevating the designer’s iconic strap bombers and Japanese cotton tees with opulent navy and yellow tones. Lightweight textiles grant a lived-in attitude to coats and patterned shorts, with puckered seams and natural wrinkling creating pre-loved texture. Faded branding accompanies washed-out hoodies and sweaters, offering a muted base against which the bright beaded necklaces & multicolored Common Projects sneakers are given extra weight. Elsewhere, cargo pockets, drawstrings and zippered-hems add functionality to the relaxed gear, staying faithful with the collection’s nomadic inspiration.

For more progressive dye procedures, take a look at Advisory Board Crystals & Slam Jam’s “Eternal Youth” collaboration.
