Bulgarian designer Kiko Kostadinov debuted Mackintosh 0003 at Paris Fashion Week, his latest work for the British heritage label. Building on the brand’s century-plus history, Kostadinov delivered a strong collection that riffed on British looks from decades past.

Sleek shirts, unstructured bottoms and wide trousers make up the majority of the range, with quilting details and the occasional fleece breaking up the consistent styling. Tailored looks were broken up with slouchy work jackets, 3/4 trousers and collarless zip-up shirts. The designer riffed on Mackintosh staples later in the collection; quilted trench coats offered minimalistic style, a hidden-placket wool coat offered a built-in belt and several policemen’s capes were executed in Mackintosh’s iconic rubberized cotton. The fabric resurfaced in the form of matching zippered pouch bags and accented items like a wide-lapeled coat.

Keep an eye out for more of our Paris Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2018 coverage. Kostadinov recently held his eponymous label’s Fall/Winter 2018 show, which featured a new collaboration with Camper.
