When uncompromising artisanal craftsmanship collides with one of fashion’s most revered creative minds, the result is nothing short of spectacular. Los Angeles-based eyewear powerhouse Jacques Marie Mage has officially unveiled its latest collaborative triumph: Jacques Marie Mage by Haider Ackermann. Arriving just in time for the summer season, the limited-edition collection perfectly captures the tension between refinement and rebellion, translating Ackermann’s emotionally resonant approach to design into a series of highly architectural spectacles.
The partnership is rooted in a deep, mutual respect for uncompromising design. JMM founder and creative director Jérôme Mage didn’t hold back his admiration for his collaborative partner, stating, “Haider is, for me, one of the most accomplished fashion designers of the last 15 to 20 years. We have a mutual passion for what we do, and a mutual appreciation for a non-compromising approach to design.”
To bring this shared philosophy to life, the duo developed three core silhouettes, each expressing a different facet of their design language. The MELCHIOR serves as the boldest offering, constructed from thick 10mm plant-based acetate into a rectangular shape with a beveled brow and subtle nautical metal motifs. The BALTHAZAR strikes a delicate balance, pairing a round acetate front with slender beta titanium temples that feature JMM’s signature arrowhead engraving. Finally, the GASPARD channels a streamlined, mid-century aesthetic, rendered entirely in lightweight beta titanium with a distinct monobrow and finely sculpted temples.
Elevating the collection even further, select styles are being offered in special leather-wrapped editions. Meticulously applied, responsibly sourced black leather encases the frames, underscoring the collection’s heavy emphasis on materiality and texture.
JMM is renowned for its world-class packaging, and this release is no exception. Handcrafted in strictly limited quantities, each pair arrives in a custom Collector’s Box Set detailed with an embossed python pattern on black leather. Inside, buyers will find a handcrafted Italian leather case, a letterpress authenticity card, and a commemorative silk scarf inspired by Ackermann’s own signature wardrobe.
The collection will be available beginning May 6, 2026 at JMM Galleries, online, and select retailers worldwide.
