Official images of the highly anticipated AURALEE x New Balance 204L sneakers have surfaced, following their initial runway debut at Paris Fashion Week last summer. This collaboration introduces New Balance’s all-new, low-profile silhouette, which masterfully blends the streamlined, narrow proportions of 1970s running shoes with the complex, tech-inspired paneling characteristic of the early 2000s.
Catering to the modern trend of ultra-slim, “barely-there” flat sole units, the collection is split into two distinct material makeups. The “White Lime” iteration features a breathable cream and grey mesh base framed by crisp white leather overlays, subtly accented with delicate touches of tan, cream and soft lime-yellow tracing its curved lines.
In stark contrast, the “Dark Brown” variant strips away the mesh entirely to deliver a completely tonal, texturally rich lifestyle look. This premium colorway utilizes a heavy layering of velvety chocolate-brown suede and soft nubuck across the upper, creating a luxurious matte finish that is beautifully grounded by a matching dark outsole and a contrasting cream interior lining.
