Issey Miyake continues to build up its footwear, following up on the HOMME PLISSÉ CIOCCOLATO and the Camper Peu Form with the Camp Karst Finch. Inspired by the often colorful little birds, the collaborators have reinvigorated the Mary Jane silhouette into an active style via technical materials and creative color choices.
Satoshi Kondo, the designer of ISSEY MIYAKE, first opted for a relaxed slipper in the inaugural Peu Form, but this time he swings in the opposite direction, centered on sculptural outsoles. The half-open upper is comprised of a PET-engineered textile, an OrthoLite® recycled internal footbed, ReXarge® midsoles, and Vibram rubber outsoles. The distinct sole is integral to the original Camper Karst model, which is named after the geological term for certain rocky formations.
The Issey Miyake x Camper’s Karst Finch comes in two neutral colorways, black and beige, as well as two more adventurous palettes comprising turquoise, neon green, and yellow components. For added versatility, each pair comes with two pairs of socks to personalize the look.
Starting April 15, the Issey Miyake x Camper Karst Finch will be available for $320 USD at Camper and Issey Miyake.
