Summary
- Hermès debuts the Cape Cod “Mini,” a downsized reinterpretation of its 1991 classic wristwatch
- Dial options range from argenté to Rouge H, with select versions set with 46 diamonds and paired with single or double tour leather straps
Hermès has unveiled the Cape Cod “Mini”, a refined reinterpretation of one of its most iconic watch designs. Originally sketched in 1991 by Henri d’Origny, the Cape Cod is defined by its distinctive “square within a rectangle” case inspired by anchor‑chain links. The new Mini version reduces the proportions to 27mm x 20 mm, accentuating the curve of the case and highlighting its polished, gem‑set, or smooth finishes.
Available in steel or yellow gold, the collection offers a variety of dial options, including argenté, étoupe, ardoise, doré and Rouge H, each paired with carefully crafted leather straps in Swift calfskin or Chamkilight goatskin. Every piece in the Cape Cod Mini line is powered by a high-precision Swiss-made quartz movement and is water-resistant to 3 bar, ensuring it remains as practical as it is elegant. True to the Maison’s artisanal spirit, each watch is finished with either a single or double tour strap crafted in the Hermès Horloger workshops from supple Swift calfskin or Chamkilight goatskin.
The Cape Cod Mini will be available through the Maison’s boutiques and selected retailers starting mid-April. For more information, visit Hermès’ official webstore.
