Summary

  • BEAMS and NEEDLES are releasing a new SS26 tracksuit featuring horizontal stripes, a soccer-style collar, and a brown/electric blue palette.

  • Marking nearly a decade of collaboration since their 2017 debut, this limited set drops February 21, 2026, at Japanese retail locations and online stores.

For years, the two highly popular Japanese labels, BEAMS and NEEDLES, have put their minds together to deliver new interpretations of their distinct styles. Following up on the mohair versions of the NEEDLES tracksuit unveiled in December 2025, this week, the partners are teasing another variant featuring horizontal stripes.

The updated look echoes BEAMS and NEEDLES’ 2023 collaboration, which utilized similar silhouettes offered in NEEDLES’ classic purple colorways. However, the 2026 edition arrives in an all-new palette: rich brown with electric blue details, including the iconic NEEDLES butterfly on the breast and leg. Additionally, they removed the zipper from the top, updating it with an athletic collar akin to what one might find on a soccer jersey—a timely detail as the 2026 World Cup approaches.

BEAMS has been carrying NEEDLES’ clothes in its retail locations for more than 25 years, but their first collaboration came in 2017. The very first collaboration included a pair of printed Vans and a skateboarding-inspired tracksuit; however, the partners have continued to interpolate on each other’s classic styles over the last ten years.

The SS26 BEAMS x NEEDLES set is expected to drop at the brand’s Japanese locations and webstores on February 21, 2026.
