The Queen of Crime is getting a stylish, high-energy makeover. Netflix has officially pulled back the curtain on the first trailer for its upcoming limited series, Agatha Christie Seven Dials. This isn’t your typical slow-burn village mystery; the adaptation, penned by Chris Chibnall, promises a wit-infused, fast-paced conspiracy that brings a youthful energy to the classic 1929 novel.
The plot follows the novel adaptation and kicks off at a lavish country house party at Chimneys, where a practical joke involving eight alarm clocks goes tragically wrong. When one of the guests is found dead, it is up to the fiercely intelligent and adventurous Lady Eileen “Bundle” Brent (Mia McKenna-Bruce) to untangle a web of international espionage and secret societies. The trailer teases a dangerous hunt for the elusive “Seven Dials,” a clandestine group whose motives remain shrouded in shadow. The official synopsis reads, “England. 1925. At a lavish country house party, a practical joke appears to have gone horribly, murderously wrong. The casting is a blend of rising stars and British acting royalty. Mia McKenna-Bruce, fresh off her BAFTA win, leads the series with a spirited performance as Bundle. She is joined by Helena Bonham Carter as the formidable Lady Caterham and Martin Freeman as Superintendent Battle, the seasoned investigator guiding the amateur sleuths. The ensemble is rounded out by Edward Bluemel (My Lady Jane), who plays the charming but mysterious Jimmy Thesiger.
Directed by Chris Sweeney (The Tourist), the series is produced by Orchard Pictures and is slated to arrive on Netflix globally on January 15, 2026.
