Inspired by traditional Japanese indigo dyeing techniques, Le Labo has released an indigo version of the CYPRÈS 21 Classic Candle. This special-edition release offers a visually striking, indigo-themed reimagining of the brand’s signature CYPRÈS 21 scent.
The project was produced in partnership with a family-run Japanese workshop that has practiced the art of indigo dyeing for five generations. Each glass container is presented in a deep indigo hue and housed in a craft box featuring a gradient-dyed label, paying homage to the diverse spectrum of the traditional pigment. The design reflects a deep commitment to heritage craftsmanship and meticulous handwork.
The fragrance itself mirrors the quiet hideaway atmosphere of the original CYPRÈS 21 perfume. Bright, resinous cypress is layered with spicy notes of juniper, clove and star anise, grounded by a warm base of incense and patchouli – a combination crafted to evoke a sense of calm and self-reflection.
Priced at $97 USD, the Le Labo CYPRÈS 21 Indigo Classic Candle is available now on the brand’s official website.
