Barbour has joined forces with London-based Chinese designer Feng Chen Wang for a collaborative collection celebrating the Year of the Horse. This partnership reimagines Barbour’s heritage silhouettes through the lens of ancient folklore and Wang’s signature emotionally charged design language.
The capsule centerpieces include a reimagined Porter Waxed Jacket and the Fendale Quilted Jacket, the latter available in “Rustic” and “Olive” colorways. Both garments feature intricate embroidery of the Dragon Horse (Long Ma)—a mystical beast from classical Chinese literature symbolizing bravery and freedom. The collection extends to gingham check shirts, graphic T-shirts, and sports caps, all anchored by a palette of red and gold accents to reflect good fortune and growth.
For Wang, the project is deeply personal, rooted in her time as a student in London when Barbour’s waxed jackets became a defining symbol of her British experience. “The design merges the mystique of the British countryside with the richness of Eastern mythology,” Wang noted.
With prices ranging from $85 USD to $780 USD, the Feng Chen Wang x Barbour collection is available now on Barbour’s official webstore.
