This Fall/Winter 2026, Masayuki Ino’s Doublet returned to Paris Fashion Week with a collection that makes the invisible tangible. Focusing on the “strangest comforts,” this season centers on the concept of “AIR” — not merely as an atmosphere, but as a raw material and a symbol of human persistence.
The technical foundation of the collection is a breakthrough in sustainable textile science. Ino utilized avant-garde yarns synthesized from captured atmospheric bio-resins cultivated by greenhouse-gas-consuming microorganisms, and carbon-based inks salvaged from industrial exhaust. The design process was defined by volatile trial and error, where rather than hiding these imperfections, Doublet celebrates the “time they never gave up,” transforming technical failures into experimental fashion that bridges the gap between environmental activism and high-concept streetwear.
